Trevor and I are having a lazy weekend.
As I type, we’re sitting in a coffee shop, sun pouring through the windows, paper cups of delicious caffeine by our side. Trevor is rotating between reading a book and playing video games. I’m carefully editing photos and now writing this blog post. The only sad part of it all is that we’re not basking directy in the (rare) Seattle sun at one of the patio tables. Editing photos in the sun is not realistic. All the colours start to look the same. The same colour of sun glare on a laptop screen.
Maybe we’ll be out there later with the pups.
Sometimes I wish I didn’t like coffee so much. I used to hate it, and I knew I was missing something special, but now I like coffee to a fault.
You know those folks that need coffee asap after they wake up? I am sort of the the opposite of that. It’s not that I don’t like coffee first thing in the morning, it’s that if I drink coffee on an empty stomach, my tummy gets mighty angry at me.
Does this stop me from drinking coffee on an empty stomach?
Have you ever added a teabag to your oatmeal while it was cooking? Just to add a little extra something? I don’t always eat oatmeal, but when I do, I like to add in a chai teabag for some extra flavour and zing. All those spices against the mellow oatmeal, it’s an easy way to make a flavoured oatmeal.
So when I read about an oatmeal cookie containing all the spices found in a masala chai tea?
I’m all over that.
